I agree with you completely. I have never missed a primary or a general election. Our right to vote was so hard fought, it is our responsibility to carry on and appreciate their efforts. I have already mailed in my primary ballot for Sept 1st and will immediately vote in the general election through the mail when I receive my ballot. Boxer dog that’s what i do i fly and i know things poster. I certainly know who I am voting for! Thanks for that story of your maternal grandmother. My maternal grandmother, Eleanor (Toomey) Moynihan, was not afraid to speak her mind and had an incredibly quick wit. According to my mother, my grandfather once came home from voting in an election and my grandmother asked him how he had voted, so he told her. Well, whomever my grandfather had voted for, it was NOT who my grandmother had chosen and she did NOT approve of his pick. So my grandmother retorted, “Well I cancelled YOU out with MY vote!” That story always made me laugh, but it also taught me that I never have to feel that I don’t have the power to use my voice and my vote to make a difference.
